Resertifiseringen er i henhold til NS EN 1591-4. Kurset gir kunnskap om forberedelse, planlegging, utførelse og dokumentering av arbeid på boltede forbindelser. Kurset er en kombinasjon av teori og praksis og avsluttes med en teoretisk test samt en praktisk test med sensor.

Focus on production and processing. Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to give an account of the production process of oil and gas. Presentation 

This training course describes the inclining test and lightweight measurement procedures. Inclining test is a test performed on a ship to determine her stability, lightship weight and the coordinates of her centre of gravity. The test is applied to newly constructed ships greater than 24 metres in length, and to ships altered in ways that could affect stability.

Presentation

This training course covers the requirements of SOLAS Convention concerning the safety equipment of cargo ships. It includes the documentation required on board, life-saving appliances, firefighting equipment, the safety of navigation, safety equipment in general and additional requirements for tankers.

Objectives

On completion of the training, students will be able to:

Know the documentation required to be available on board and understand the requirements of the STCW Convention for safe manning crew members. 

Understand the requirements concerning personal life-saving appliances, survival crafts, rescue boats, and launching and recovery arrangements.

Organizations are changing, and so are our offices. The new age millennials are shifting toward the virtual world. More and more organizations use virtual teams to meet corporate goals. This has created the need to determine how best to manage and lead these virtual groups. 

Traditional methods of managing on-site groups don’t work with remote workers, because virtual teams are most often composed of workers who are spread over a varied geographic and cultural expanse and communicate, for the most part, electronically. The learning process leading up to a certificate of competence is carried out to contribute to safe lifting operations, as well as to document the necessary knowledge and skills in accordance with requirements laid down in national regulations and standards.

After completion, participants must be able to identify hazards, risks, causes and consequences of accidents with dangerous goods and hazardous waste.

Participants will also be familiar with restrictions, requirements, classifications, identification, packaging, marking, documentation and handling of dangerous goods and waste.

The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has made major changes to the regulations. People who work in tanks and closed rooms are the biggest difference that the regulation "Work in tanks" has fallen away. This is replaced by section 29 of the regulations «execution of work», which states that all work in closed rooms shall be performed «without danger to life or health». A simple requirement that gives the employer a great deal of responsibility.

New SOLAS requirements: Exercises in closed rooms and rescue, as well as portable gas measuring equipment.

Applies to: All ships covered by SOLAS and all high-speed vessels, mobile offshore drilling units and dynamically positioned vessels

The definitions of a cramped space vary from country to country, but the usual criteria usually include:

- A room that is predominantly or completely closed
- Contains health and / or safety hazards
- Is not designed for continuous stay of employees
- Has entrances or exits that are small or difficult to access
- A room that is large enough that you can enter it completely and perform the work tasks you have been assigned
- Limited air circulation

Standard NS-EN 1591-4 sets requirements for maintenance of competence. If there has been a stay with work on flanged connections for six months or more, a new refresher course must be completed in order to continue to have valid approval. We offer a separate course for those who do not get enough practice (within 6 months) to maintain the approval. The aim is to provide the participant with sufficient theory and practice to continue to be able to perform flange work in accordance with current requirements. The course includes: Flanges, Clamps, Bolts and lubrication, Gaskets, Working procedures, Understanding safe use of tools and equipment, Associated documents

After completing the course, the students should be able to take part in their own organisation’s emergency management and be familiar with emergency preparedness in the petroleum industry.

• The DP system’s utilization of position measurements, and tests on position reference systems

LEARNING PROCESS

The training will be a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises. The participants will work with practical scenarios based on real operations, training on planning and executing specified operations under varying simulated conditions, including emergency handling

SPECIAL INFORMATION

The DP Simulator course is phase C of the Nautical Institute (NI) DP Operator Certification Scheme.

The course will be entered into the NI Dynamic  Positioning Operator’s Log Book.

CERTIFICATE

A certificate acceditated by the Nautical Institute will be issued on succcessful completion of the course.
