Description:
This course offers an in-depth exploration of the Engine Room, the pivotal component of a ship's operations. It is structured into seven modules; we start by introducing the engine room, the team and the organisational management. Safety is a critical element in day-to-day life as well as in emergencies, and we shall cover all aspects, from what you should wear each day, up to how to proceed during an exceptional event in the engine room. Finally, you will gain an understanding of the operations, maintenance, guidelines and procedures of the ship’s machinery. It is important to stress that you always orient yourself towards your engine room's specifications and follow your shipping company-approved procedures. You will be presented with an assessment at the end of this course.
