Engine Room Watchkeeping

This Engine Room Rounds course shows the learner how to conduct rounds of the engine room in a structured way, and what equipment checks to carry out in the machinery spaces of typical large ships.

The course details how an Engineer Officer Of the Watch (EOOW) should carry out the proper checks in the machinery space to ensure that equipment is operating correctly when starting your watchkeeping or UMS duties.

We will begin with introductory parts to the engine department, company policy, and furthermore, we discuss the duties and responsibilities of the EOOW.
