Ship Engine Room Flooding

In this course, you will learn about ‘Engine Room Flooding’ and be introduced to a generic Engine Room Emergency procedure, which will expand your knowledge and help you connect with an actual ‘Engine Room Flooding’ on board.

The course has been divided into the following lessons:

- An introduction to the Ship Subdivision and Watertight Integrity, which mainly discusses the watertight bulkheads and watertight doors.

- An overview of the Ship Flooding, and Intact & Damage Stability Booklet

- Ship Engine Room Flooding, which is divided into three sections: Engine Room Watertight Integrity, Common Causes of Engine Room Flooding, and General Safety Procedures and Course of Actions in case of engine room flooding.

It is important to stress that you always orient yourself towards your engine room's specifications and follow your shipping company-approved procedures.

You will be presented with an assessment at the end of this course.
