Course Description:

This bundle consists of 12 modules, which include Bridge equipment, navigation policies and procedures, logbook and movement book management, Charts and publication management etc.

This bundle focuses on the Bridge. You will be guided on how to carry out various checks around the Bridge. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors.

It will help combine your knowledge, core competency, your soft skills, your situational awareness and your attitude and empower you to be an efficient member of the bridge team.

Reassures the candidate on how to deal with third-party Inspectors professionally and how to handle the situation maturely. It also serves as a refresher training before any inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence.  

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to:

Carry out systematic checks of all bridge equipment, including general tests, maintenance, and operating procedures. They will be able to ensure that the Bridge equipment is ready for any inspection in all respects.

Understand the responsibility and importance of having the right attitude when dealing with third-party inspectors, 

Distinguish between the different types of attitudes and temperaments, e.g. confident, arrogant, submissive, calm, Nervous etc. 

Understand the importance of safe navigation, including proper  bridge manning level, optimising use of bridge equipment, and accurate record keeping and will be able to ensure the company navigational manual instructions complied with
